Bristol stepped back in time on the first week of October 2014, for the BRISTOL DOCKS HERITAGE WEEKEND to mark the 40th anniversary of the last cargo ship leaving the City Docks.
Celebrations included live performances by Show of Strength Theatre Company.
Gerard Cooke played the part of 'Mervyn from Montpelier', in Andrzej Wawrowski's BLIND DATE 1952,
which saw Mervyn waiting for a rendezvous with a young lady named Elizabeth; who shares a number of things in common with a namesake celebrating a big anniversary that year!
